Stop getting interrupted for every small change.
Give your teammates and clients the non-tech Claude Code experience with nothing to install.
A cloud vibe coding environment plugged into git
Your collaborators only see a chat and a preview. Behind the scenes, each change is a commit, so what gets merged goes through your usual pipeline.
How to get started
A few minutes of setup on your side, once per project.
- 1
You
Connect your git repository
Install the GitHub App, pick the repository and the base branch sessions start from.
- 2
Mostly automatic
Configure the sandbox
Each session runs a Docker container. We analyze your app and write its Dockerfile. Add your environment variables and the rules on your files.
- 3
You
Invite your team
Add your teammates and clients by email and choose what each of them can do, including who sets up the payment method.
Review only when needed
Set rules on files, or add custom instructions to say what is allowed.
Rules on every file
Allowed, requires review or forbidden, for each file or folder. The agent will refuse requests that need to update forbidden files.
Review with all the context
Changes that need a review open a pull request on their own. In the app, read the chat conversation to understand the request, test the changes by resuming the session, then merge or ask for changes.

Questions you are about to ask
- What actually runs the code?
- Each session gets its own cloud sandbox, built from a Dockerfile generated for your repository. It runs your dev server and our AI coding agent side by side, and pauses after ten minutes of inactivity.
- Does it trigger my CI/CD?
- Yes. Changes are ordinary commits pushed to GitHub, so your checks, preview deployments and releases run as they do for any other commit.
- Which stacks are supported?
- Any web app that can run in a Docker container with a dev server. We work out how your app starts when you connect the repository.
- Does it work with GitLab or Bitbucket?
- Not yet. MakeThemCode connects to GitHub through a GitHub App.
- Can a collaborator break my main branch?
- Not on their own. Every session works on a dedicated branch, protected paths are restored automatically, and merging into your base branch happens on the terms you configured.
- Where do my secrets go?
- Your environment variables are stored encrypted and only given to your project's sandboxes, so the app can run as it does on your machine. The people you invite to the project could reach them through the assistant, but no one else can: that is why we recommend using development credentials, like the ones you use locally. Access to your repository is limited too: each pull or push uses a short-lived token that only covers that repository and is never kept in it.
- Which domains should I whitelist for CORS?
- Previews run on a Modal tunnel, on a subdomain of modal.host that changes with every session. If your app calls another service (API, auth provider, storage…) that checks the origin, allow *.modal.host in its CORS settings, allowed origins or redirect URLs, ideally only on its development or staging environment.
- How is this different from other tools like Lovable?
- MakeThemCode is built for developers and non-tech collaborators working together on the same codebase. Developers can add protection rules and get the changes as pull requests on their own repository. Lovable builds a new app, cannot start from an existing repository, and is used by solo makers most of the time.
Pay-as-you-go pricing, based on tokens used by the assistant. On average, a request costs about $0.05.
